50 tips to raise more money (even in a recession)
The Nonprofit Strategies blog reprints a great article from Fundraising Success by consultant Pamela Barden.
I've tried a couple of them recently and have seen good results from calling direct debit donors and asking them to re-start their giving in six months (using some of the 'Give more tomorrow' principles) or to reduce their giving for a period.
We've also added a couple of extra mailings to our calendar and our direct mail results are holding up well and net income will be higher than last year come year end.
Also, speaking with a number of other agencies / fundraisers, I know that raffles/prize draws are doing particularly well at the minute.
What tweaks have you made to your fundraising this year to improve results?
