I love sharing information on fundraising and spend a couple of hours every week reading blog posts, so my knowledge is up-to-date and current. This helps me provide relevant advice and support to clients based on the latest research and thinking. If you'd like to know more about my consultancy services, then you can find more information here.
Below is a list of all the blogs I subscribe to and monitor and from which I pick the best posts for this site. I only list blogs that are well established and have posted quality content for a period of time. The blogs I choose are designed to help professional fundraisers and do not include ideas on affiliate marketing schemes or fundraising ideas.
If any of the links are dead or if you'd like to nominate a blog for inclusion then please get in touch. This section was last updated in June 2017.
My Current Favourite Fundraising/Charity Blogs
Future Fundraising Now - Jeff constantly produces thought provoking and educational posts on all aspects of fundraising. A constant source of insight.
The Agitator - one of the longest running non-profit blogs and still delivering excellent content on all aspects of fundraising. Well worth paying an annual donation to subscribe to it.
101 Fundraising - a collection of articles from fundraisers around the world. A great concept and some fantastic articles from across the fundraising spectrum.
Queer Ideas - Although not as prolific a blogger these days, Mark Phillips blog remains one of the best around. In-depth, insightful posts make this a must for anyone fundraising in the UK.
Ken Burnett - in 2016 and 2017 Ken has blogged extensively on the donor experience and his thoughts on how fundraiser's can build better relationships with supporters.
UK Fundraising blogs - an eclectic mix of blogs and authors curated by Howard Lake and all focused on fundraising in the UK.
Beth's Social Media Blog - don't know your Facebook from your Twitter? Beth posts on all aspects of social media and how they relate to non-profits.
Fundraising Coach - like the Agitator, Marc Pitman's blog and site covers most of fundraising. He has an entertaining, easy to read style but also delivers some killer content.
Getting Attention - Nancy Schwartz's blog helps non-profits improve their marketing. Her annual tagline competition is particularly useful.
Pamela Grow - Pamela is the best place to go for advice for small fundraising teams (there's plenty for bigger charities too!) and delivers lots of practical tips.
Clairification - I've really enjoyed this blog over the last year. Claire's posts are thoughtful, well-considered and packed full of good advice.
Passionate Giving by the Veritus Group - a must for major donor fundraisers. This blog gives in-depth information on all aspects of major donor fundraising. The white papers are worth checking out too.
Rogare - I'm a proud member of Rogare's advisory panel so a little biased. However, the blog has got off to a great start with some weighty subjects tackled. I expect 2015 to be a big year for this blog.
Blogs from UK fundraisers and agencies
Paul de Gregorio - digital and mobile expert and all round good guy curates some of the best content on mobile and digital trends. Paul's day job is at Open Fundraising.
